Salmon tartare

This salmon tartare starter from Come Dine With Me South Africa (Season 5, Episode 7) is a refreshing dish.

  • Salmon
  • Dill
  • Lemon Zest
  • Avo
  • Cucumber

Instructions
 

  • Cut the salmon into small, fine pieces.
  • Add lemon zest and freshly chopped dill to the salmon and mix gently.
  • Spoon the salmon mixture into a small jar or ramekin, pressing lightly to compact.
  • Top the salmon with a layer of mashed or finely diced avocado.
  • Carefully remove from the jar (if shaped) or serve as is, and place on a thin slice of cucumber.
  • Garnish with extra dill or a drizzle of olive oil, if desired. Serve chilled.
